Nature and urban life, in total alignment
You’ll find much of that history alive and well throughout the small town – such as the clock and fountain in Houldsworth Square, donated by industrial pioneer Sir William Henry Houldsworth.
Elsewhere, there’s the Elisabeth Mill overlooking Houldsworth Golf Club and Highfield Park – emblematic of the natural surroundings you’ll come to love. In fact, our development sits beside the much larger Reddish Vale Country Park, where hills, trees and ponds are waiting for your long walks or fishing trips.
Meanwhile, restaurants line Broadstone Road offering Thai, Italian and Bengali food. You can grab a drink at The Thatched Tavern, or head further towards Stockport – barely three miles south – for a glass of beer at the legendary Robinsons Brewery.
Reddish itself has everything covered for your retail or shopping essentials. But when the mood strikes, just head to Manchester for a real urban adventure.
And for families? Three primary schools are a few minutes from our road: Abingdon, St. Joseph’s and St. Elisabeth’s. Reddish Vale High awaits further north, a stone’s throw from the local community centre. Of course, there are countless more schools, colleges and higher education opportunities in the region, all of which you can reach with Reddish’s excellent transport network.
